This video show the steps taken through a hydraulic dredging project.  This Hydraulic dredging project was completed in August 2017 in Swansea, IL.  We removed close to 10,000 cubic yards of Sediment from 3 Coves.  The Sediment was pumped into 60’x200′ foot dewatering tubes.  Polymers were used to flocculate the slurry before it enters the bags to increase the speed of dewatering.  The amphibious excavator was used to remove sediment from around docks and seawall where the hydraulic dredge would have difficulty maneuvering.

Began dredging a lake in Swansea, il this week. Removing around 8000 cubic yards of muck from 3 coves. Using the H&H hydraulic dredge and Aquarious amphibious excavator. Materials will be pumped into 60 foot diameter x 200foot long dewatering bags. Also Welded 2000 foot of 6 inch HDPE pipe to the dewatering area.

Last week we started removing sediment from two ponds at the O’fallon Sportsman’s Club. Using the 324 Cat long reach excavator, operator Kerry slings the muck up on shore to dewater.

Cleaning out a small pond in Frontenac. Loaded mud straight into trucks instead of letting it dewater in the yard. Thanks to MK Trucking for trucks with tight tailgates we didn’t have any cleanup to do in the streets.
